"Thank you just does not seem enough for all you have done to make today a reality.  It was a day filled with fun, and most of all a time to reflect.

I had the wonderful opportunity to send my group ahead, and walk on alone, just to think about the past five years since my last diagnosis.

What I did not get to share with you, is that Danny was my get well gift to myself when I completed chemo. (He is my 1st horse and a dream since I was 5 years old) How poignant to have the opportunity to help others battling this disease with the one who helped me be a Survivor.

Peace to you, and thank you a thousand times,"

"It was great to meet you and all of your fabulous volunteers.  It was hotter than hades, but well worth it for such a good cause.  I still can't get over the fact that there was a smiling person wearing a pink shirt and cap everytime I turned around - always offering cold water of help of any kind.  ...and I won't even mention the fantastic goody bags and prizes!  To say you deserve commendation is putting it ridiculously simply.  It was an exceptionally well run operation and without the heat it would have been an absolutely perfect day.We had a great time - I think the attached photos will tell the story.

Please pass on our thanks to all of your volunteers.  We are already making plans for next year.   ...hmmmm ... I'll have to come up with something new in the "shirt department"  ;-) "

"I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you and the other volunteers for all the hard work you did to organize the first Mass Ride for a Cure.  I’m afraid that by the time we rode our sorry selves back in it was so late and many were leaving.  The ride was very challenging for us but I’m so glad we made it and can check off another accomplishment in my rode to recovery.  I understand that over $50K was raised and that is a huge accomplishment for all the riders and volunteers – a great job and greatly appreciated!

There were so many details that I didn’t even notice until I got home (hand made cookies, lunch bags put together with all sorts of goodies, our bags of gifts when we arrived, etc.)  This all took a great deal of work to coordinate.  Also, there were a few volunteers who helped us with our horses when we returned – they cooled them, watered them and even walked them for us.  I thank everyone’s extra efforts, especially because I know they were hot and exhausted as well.

Finally, but I’m sure not as I’ll think of a million other things to thank you for after I hit the send key, but the necklace I received is stunning.  I’ve gotten so many compliments when I wear it and it has such special meaning.

They say that it takes 1 ½ years after treatment to see if they got all the cancer.  I’m only 6 months out so have a year of worry left.  I certainly hope that there’s another ride next spring and I can ride it, as I will then be a true breast cancer survivor.

Thanks a million for all you did to make this ride possible."

"I just wanted to let you know that I had a great time on our ride this year. My niece and I ended up riding with a wonderful women who had lost her mother to breast cancer 7 years ago. It really reminded us why we were there. I would love to ride again next year, I have my goal set and can't wait to get started!! Please let me know when and were next years will be held so that I can start preparing.

Thank you for a great ride."

"I had to write and congratulate you on the enormous success of the first ever Massachusetts Ride for the Cure. You couldn’t control the weather, but everything was managed with such thoughtfulness and care. Each volunteer made us riders feel special and cared for. The gift bags were a wonderful treat and the lunch and raffle were extra special surprises. I was so moved by the turnout and by the amount of money raised. It was a wonderful event you hosted and I was so proud to be a part of it.

My favorite moment of the day? My tired and hot horse Lacey resting her face on my friend Mary (who is a survivor). I’ve attached a photo. I could do the ride because of my horse Lacey, but I did the ride for my friend Mary.

Sending you huge congratulations. Thanks again!"

"I just wanted to let you know that we had a great time yesterday despite the heat.  You guys really did a fantastic job.  That was one of the best organized rides that I have been on. Congratulations on all of the hard work that you did for such a great cause.

You guys should be really proud. We'll be back next year!!"
